Oil on Canvas
Jay Scott Pike (American, 1924 - 2015) was born in Philadelphia and enrolled in the New York Art Students League at the tender age of 16.
He was a multi-talented multi-media artist, drawing comics for DC and Marvel where he drew for Lorna Queen of the Jungle, Kid Colt, Sheena and Jann of the Jungle. Later in life he worked on Star Wars.
In 1956 he began working for A.Fox company, continuing the iconic 'panties down' series started by his predecessor Art Frahm.
This original oil painting, Harem Captive, highlights Jay's skills at presenting the female form, with the subject's seductive pose. The colors are bold and rich, making this a statement piece for your collection.
